Basingstoke Sports Centre have won two local “Places to be Proud Awards” for its work in the local community. The first was for the Parkinson rehabilitation project while the second was for its community run “Steady and Strong” classes.
Martyn Frost, the Trusts Chairman said "As many of you know, the Sports Centre was entered into two categories at the recent Place to be Proud of Awards. The two categories were the Business and the Community Award (Parkinson’s Programme) and the Community Project Award (Steady and Strong Programme)
At the Awards Ceremony last week the Sports Centre was successful by winning both categories.
May I, on behalf of the Trustees, offer our congratulations to all those staff involved in these two programmes from those working with the stakeholders to set up such, and develop, the partnerships and the staff who delivered the programmes.
I know the Trustees are very appreciative of the hard work put in to deliver our service and to receive these awards are, without doubt, just rewards for your efforts."
