Sadly, the Government has announced (subject to parliamentary approval), that we will have to close our facilities from Thursday 5th of November 2020. Our programme of activities on Wednesday 4th November remains unchanged.  At the moment the Government has stated that we can re-open on Wednesday 2nd of December.

During our closure, we will provide regular updates through Facebook and our websites.  Any significant updates will also be emailed to you.

As your November Direct Debit has already been taken, we will apply this payment for December instead. There will be NO direct debit payment collected on 1st December so that you are not charged for the period that the facilities have to be closed. Therefore, you do not need to be concerned and do not need to take any action yourself.

Swim School customers, please note that although we normally close for two weeks in December, your Direct Debit is on a pro-rata basis, spread throughout the year, so your payment for November will cover December as usual.

If the Government decides to extend the lockdown then we would adjust your future payments to reflect this too. There is no need to cancel your Direct Debit.  This protects your membership, secures your current monthly price, and means you won’t have to pay a fee to re-join.

If you’re an annual or three months pre-paid member, we’ll extend your membership for the length of time that the facilities are closed.

As you may know, we are a registered charity (no. 301731) who has been providing leisure, physical activity and health and wellbeing programmes for over 50 years. As an independent charitable trust, we do not receive any external funding, generating all our income from membership and activity fees.

We were extremely humbled by the support our customers showed us during the last lockdown and, if you can afford it, we would be extremely grateful if you would consider donating November’s direct debit payment to the charity?  If you do wish to do this, then please contact us at [email protected]

Up until now, we have been able to offer those members who continued to support us free access to our on-demand physical activity platform, bsthomefitness.  This provides unlimited access to hundreds of different exercise classes and can be used by your whole household.

Given this further lockdown, the charity can no longer afford to do this and will have to end free access on 14 November.  Therefore, if you wish to retain your subscription or you haven’t used it before and wish to take advantage of this brilliant platform, then you must email [email protected] by 10th November. We can provide bsthomefitness to you for just £4.99 a month which represents phenomenal value and there is no time commitment after the first 30 days.
