Basingstoke Sports Trust are looking to recruit an experienced HR Officer for a fantastic, fixed term opportunity (Up to 12 months contract to cover maternity). The role is responsible for delivering a HR service to all staff at the Trust, working closely with Managers across the business.
You will look after HR administration and will provide support to managers on various matters including; disciplinary, grievances, performance management, improving attendance and recruitment. In addition, you will sit on the Senior Leadership Team and be involved in influencing and shaping the exciting future of the business from an HR aspect.
Although the role will very much be hands-on, importantly, we will expect you to advise upon, update and maintain policies and procedures in order to help the business improve year-on-year. You will also be expected to coach Managers and deliver training to different groups of staff on HR related matters.
In order to be successful for this role, previous HR experience in a fast-paced environment and a good understanding of employment law is essential. You will need to be discrete, have strong communication and organisational skills, be a self-starter and be able to work on your own and use your initiative. A CIPD qualification would put you in an advantageous position for the role.
This full-time post is 37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday and based in Basingstoke. You will need a flexible approach to duties and hours, which may include travel to our Newbury site and occasional evening and weekend working due to the nature of our business.
