Basingstoke Sports Trust is looking to recruit a passionate, friendly, professional and self-motivated Move+ Coach to deliver a new programme in partnership with Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council.

Hours of work are anticipated to be up to five weekly sessions, starting with one weekly session, that will take place between:

Monday – Thursday 18.30-20.00hrs     Saturday – Sunday 14.30-1600hrs

We are looking for someone who will put people first and deliver excellent customer service.  Our new innovative programme is for individuals that are not achieving recommended physical activity levels.  Throughout the 40 weeks you will be delivering a combination of exercise sessions to the group and also educating and empowering the group with lifestyle coaching.  As a Move+ Coach you will conducting inductions and health checks for the group, developing programmes to help the group understand the benefits of leading healthy lifestyles, and engaging with each of the individuals to educate, support and motivate. You will be at least REPS 3 qualified with a strong fitness background and have experience of working in a gym environment.  The ability and desire to obtain additional qualifications and experience is essential and will be funded by us. You will be an excellent team player, be flexible and have strong organisational skills.

You will play a leading role in helping to organise and attend events to actively promote the Trust, its memberships and activities and will bring your passion to help support our customers work towards their fitness goals. You will work with our Health and Wellbeing team to promote our other Health and Wellbeing programmes and assist with consultations as required.
 

We will expect you to have a high standard of personal presentation at all times and to communicate your sound knowledge of physical activity and lifestyle advice to customers effectively. You must also be computer literate and be able to prioritise workload. Experience of motivational interviewing techniques, smoking cessation and Making Every Contact Count are desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
